Club History

In early 1958 a meeting was held by interested Exhibitors and Breeders of Australian Silky Terriers. There were 33 people present at that meeting. Approval was sought and granted by the Kennel Control Council and in March 1958 the inaugral meeting of the the Australian Silky Terrier Club of Victoria was held. There were 42 people present at this first meeting and 35 became financial members on the night.

The Australian Silky Terrier Club of Victoria would like to acknowledge the contribution of all members, both past and present who have worked hard to improve the breed and to make the Club what it is today.
